Joel’s is also the founder and executive director of Be the Church, a movement to revitalize the local church through authentic leadership development. Joel holds a business degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Divinity from Mercer University.

  1. There is a real danger when we look to the Pastor, as leader. This leads most often to a position of authoritarianism abuse.
    The congregation is involved, the elders make the spiritual priorities
    A Pastor is led: by God, by His word, and by their congregation.

    There is no such thing as an apostolic leader.
